About Kim!

UCLA Alumna, Canadian-born + comedically gifted powerhouse, Kimberley ("Kim") Wong, has over 13 years of improv + sketch comedy experience (UCB, Groundlings, IO, Improv Space), and has performed MainStage for David Spade at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, UCB, Impro Theatre, Improv Space, Disneyland, Charles M. Schultz Theatre, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, & the Segerstrom Centre.

Kimberley hails from Ontario, Canada, and is based in Los Angeles & Vancouver as an actor/singer combo. She got her start on Sesame Street, and after winning First place in the Singing Soloist Competition at IMTA New York, went on to study Musical Theatre & Drama under Broadway's Susan Egan at OCHSA, followed by UCLA where she double-majored in Global Studies and French, helped form Cadenza A Cappella, and was an Arts & Entertainment writer for the Daily Bruin, only to return to her true passion; Acting.

Wong has an extensive repertoire and intuitive drive reaching the empathy in her acting work, bringing laughs as seamlessly as tears to her audiences. She reprised her role as the dramatic lead, “Jing-Mei (June) Woo” in the 1st National Tour (US & Canada) of THE JOY LUCK CLUB, a dramatic play of Amy Tan's novel with Plan-B Entertainment to sold-out theatres across the US + Canada and went on to star in a live-action pilot venture for Electronic Arts.

 

In addition to her love of Film & Theatre, Wong has delved into the realm of voice-over animation -- most recently voicing the English Lead role "Smile" in Netflix's WORDS BUBBLE UP LIKE SODA POP & "Octavia Inkhart", an adorably sassy purple octopus, in the LITTLEST PET SHOP on Discovery Family Channel. 

 

She's dedicated to honing her craft at Margie Haber Studios, practicing as a Brownbelt in Wushu Shaolin Kung Fu under the legendary Grandmaster Hu (she won 2 Gold Medals for her Straightsword & Fan Form at the International Wushu Tournament) , and speaking Fluent in French & basic Mandarin (as an avid & skilled linguist).

Recently Roles include “Carla Small” opposite J.K. Simmons for FARMERS,"Leiya Lu" in Chinese Sci-Fi Film DEATH ROW 死刑犯, "Bai Hu" in HYPERSCAPE, "Akiko Tokunaga" in Disney France's MÈRE ET FILLE

 

When not Acting, she can be found singing French music with her band "Serpent Chapeau", performing Improv around LA (check out the LIVE SHOWS! section), visiting frogs at the Vancouver Aquarium, or indulging in Smoke's Poutinerie (one must have access to proper cheesecurds at all times).
